I fell in love with scrapbooking after an amazing trip to Europe. I came home and created a giant scrapbook of my two and a half week journey. It was easy. It was the summer before my junior year of college. I didn’t even know what the word responsibility meant!
A few years later, I successfully made myself a wedding scrapbook. Only this time it took a lot longer and the expense was painfully high. Then my first child was born. Of course, like any good scrapbooking mom, I had to create one of my new baby boy. And, of course, I fell behind right away because we took about 500 photos in the first hour of his life.
I still haven’t finished it. He’ll be nine this year. Official crafty fail (that also felt like a mommy fail).
Fast forward a large amount of time (with no crafting whatsoever)… I became good friends with Keri who had been reigniting her love of crafting. It was so exciting to get texts of her latest projects, it was stirring something up in me. I remember calling her one day and she mentioned she was headed to the craft store. I immediately said, “I WANT TO GO!” It just came out. So I rearranged my day, met her at the store, went to her house and we did our first craft together. It didn’t turn out all that well. But it sure was fun!
Pair that excitement with our mutual love of Instagram…? Fuggedboutit!

I’m a half stay-at-home-mom and half working mom. I spend 4 days a week at home with my two boys and the last three days working at my church, doing fun graphic and communication projects. I’m married to my best friend, for over 10 years now (which is crazytown). We’ve been through a lot of crazy stuff (hello open-heart surgery) but it’s drawn us closer together and closer to our Savior.
I’ve got a degree in Graphic Design and have been putting my love of design to good use as a freelance designer and over at my Etsy store.
I’m looking forward to this blog being my perfect creative outlet. I get to do crafts, design fun printables, and who knows what else will come down the pike! It will keep crafty in my life. And, I couldn’t be more excited!
